The local sherpa's tell us that it is best to make our ascent on the north face, so as to avoid the harsh southern winds. We are awaiting the last of the supplies, due to arrive from a local village tomorrow morning. Even at base camp the air is dangerously thin, so I must keep this entry brief, for even the effort of typing is strenuous at this altitude.
