Halloween as 2 year olds - 2010

The girls enjoyed Halloween.  They wouldn't wear the costumes mommy got them, though!  They were supposed to go as a Bumble Bee and a Honey Pot.

So imagine these are the girls in their costumes.

This was mommy's concept.

The reality was tearful sobs and wails when we tried to put the costume on the first time, to go to a party at the farmer's market in Aunt Karen's neighborhood.  So we used Chief's Cheerleader outfits as costumes.  A good solution -- happy girls, and the outfits were new -- and they were quite well received at the event!

So when the girls were going to see Granny and Grandpa, they were tired.  We didn't even try the costumes!  Again, the cheerleader outfits came out and all was well.

So Halloween night, we tried again -- but nope, no one was interested.  So we brought out the fancy dresses that were too big for them when they were 1, and discovered they were too small at 2.   They did wear the little hats for a while. Then we opted for tutu's that Granny and Grandpa gave them for their birthday.  That worked out well.

The girls had a blast going back and forth to the front door when trick-or-treaters arrived.  They also kept stealing candy whenever mommy would have the bowl low enough to put candy into trick-or-treaters bags.   They did get some sweet tarts, because mommy figured they wouldn't like them and then wouldn't ask for any more.  Boy, was I wrong!  So then we had animal crackers and Graduates Fruit Strips.

They watched a Halloween episode of Dora, and part of a Halloween episode of Diego, and then off to bed.
Below are some random pictures of their big day!
