Kansas City Vacation May 2012 (Part 3)

Friday afternoon of our Memorial Day weekend vacation in Kansas City we visited Lego Discovery Center.  It was a fairly new attraction at Crown Center and the girls really enjoyed it!

Forgive the poor quality of pictures -- I only had my IPod Touch with me to take p0ictures.  Unfortunately, it was set to record movies for a large part of the time, and I didn't realize it!

Kayla, Megan
They had bins of Lego toys to play with of all different varieties.  Kayla climbed right into the middle of the one bin like it was a sandbox! She wasn't the only one that tried that, though, so I didn't feel too badly about it.
Megan had fun with the cupcake blocks.

They had a climbing playground inside.  It was a two-level structure that was really big.  It was questionable whether or not the girls were tall enough, but the gal let them in to play.  They had a blast!
At one point, Kayla got teary by a net wall and cried to me that she wanted out.  Megan came running up, and the tears stopped and they ran off together again!  I suspect that they had gotten separated and Kayla was a bit distraught.
There were a lot of things the girls weren't old enough for, such as the two rides, the movie, the Master Builders class, and the construction areas.  They had an area where you could build a wheeled vehicle and test it on ramps.  The girls just wanted to climb the stairs to the top of the ramps!

I'm sure their next trip will be just as much fun and they'll be into some of the more advanced attractions.
